Jalopnik fails gracefully in Art Of Rally on Twitch at 4 p.m. ET

Two weeks ago I discovered that rally art is available on Game Pass. Immediately I decided this would be our next Jalopnik streaming game for our Twitch channel. But, through those fateful two hours, I learned something: rally art is hard.

The physics are so much more exact, so much more demanding than I expected. There’s no Forza Horizon Drift assist, only the flawless precision of a high-quality physics engine. I keep understeering when I try to drift, because I’m not Colin McRae, but that doesn’t stop me from trying.

Our adventure through rally art from two weeks ago was a joy, so we’re heading back to those low-poly hills today. Cooler and more relaxed atmosphere. More classic and legendary rally cars. More of me, Adam, Andy, and Jose (if he remembers the timezone we’re starting the stream from) hang around discussing the latest and greatest in automotive news, and occasionally commenting on how badly I drive. It’s awesome.

If this sounds like your idea of a good time, come to our Twitch channel at 4 p.m. Eastern Time. As a bonus, you can even see the inside of my apartment filled with moving boxes for the last time. If it doesn’t, well, I don’t know what to tell you. You clicked here.
